Kathryn and Ross’s maternity photoshoot took place on their farm in Abergavenny, South Wales. I adore shooting maternity sessions in the comfort of my clients own homes it's my favourite thing about doing mobile pregnancy photography! And this one was certainly an absolute delight.
Kathryn told me how she had seen an image I had taken at a maternity shoot of a lovely silhouetted Mum to be so of course we had to create her very own. We threw the front door open, let a gorgeous late summer breeze through the house and got to glimpse at that wonderful view surrounding Kathryn's beautiful bump!

With mobile pregnancy photography I get the choice of so many wonderful backdrops! And it was a real treat to get to shoot with such a stunning backdrop of the well known mountains which surround Abergavenny. Ross and Kathryn lead me through their grounds to get the best view possible. It did seem a little cruel to make a heavily pregnant woman hike up a hill so we were sure to have a good rest at the top!

Kathryn is such an animal lover and it was important to include her gentle dog and two loving horses into her maternity portraits. I’m so glad she did as animals are just as important to a family as any other member. Plus you can always count on them to get everyone smiling!

Now saving (in my opinion) the best till last….the wheat fields!! As soon as we walked through the gate (followed by a nosy herd of sheep) I was blown away at this location. A photographers absolute dream!! I didn’t want to leave! The swaying wheat was the perfect frame to capture some serene and intimate images of Kathryn and Ross. A sweet embrace shared as they think about the sweet new life their waiting to welcome to the world.

My maternity portraits are full of love and deep connections.
