If you own a fitness business and would rather be on an actual treadmill over the never ending treadmill of content creation…then you’re going to want to read this! Let me give you an insight into this day of content creation in Cwmbran with Debbie of Mamau Ffit.

Now before we can actually dive into the day of content creation in Cwmbran we have to go back to the beginning, the planning stage. As with all my clients I had my onboarding phone call with Debbie to outline the struggles she had with content creation and what she would like to be doing with her social channels for her business. The two big things that we discovered in this call were that Debbie had no real structure or strategy to her content and was open to the idea of changing that. She also shared that she wants to make potential clients aware that she actually has this huge well of knowledge and personal experience in regards to women’s health. Something she felt she hadn’t really been doing and which would no doubt have a huge impact on her converting followers into paying clients.

After this I was able to craft a proposal of the content I felt we should create on our day of content creation in Cwmbran. It’s a truly in depth proposal where I will deep dive into their niche, lay out their goals for their content, put together a mood board for their images and share prompts/ideas for the videos we can create together. It’s one of my favourite parts of the process but that’s because I’m a bit of marketing geek with a thing for powerpoint. Debbie was thrilled with the proposal so it wasn’t long before we were ready to shoot!

For the day of content creation in Cwmbran itself we chose to work at the local park where Debbie teaches some of her most popular classes. This is something I always suggest to clients, I think having images that show your actual place of work can be a real comfort to your potential clients and removes one of the hurdles they may have to overcome when you booking you.

I acted as a fly on the wall as Debbie taught a very enthusiastic sunny bootcamp to her clients. Capturing images that truly showed her in her element as well as lots of ‘b-roll’ video footage that she could use to make quick reels with trending sounds and that I could use to add another layer to her reels. The class was wonderful with such a great energy and we got SO much content for Debbie to use!

Next we moved on to shooting images that focus solely on Debbie, images that captured who she, an energetic, big, fun personality, who knows her stuff and has a passion for helping other women find their strength. Special mention this photo below where I had poor Debbie sitting on the cold concrete in her shorts whilst we waited for a train to pass! I think it was worth it though!

For the real meat of this day of content creation in Cwmbran we sat to film some talking to camera reels. These were the video I had pitched in our proposal and then Debbie had created talking points for each one. It didn’t take long for Debbie to get the hang of talking to camera and within two hours we had filmed 15 videos. She touched on things such as how fitness had played a huge role in helping her mental health after having babies, I had suggested we created storytelling videos like this to show her clients that she had been where they were, she could relate and sympathise. We also filmed videos about the importance strength training plays for women’s bone density, to why weighing yourself isn’t always the best tracker of progress. Lots of educational content to show her clients that she had lots of wisdom to guide them and help them reach their goals.

We worked together for roughly 6 hours on the shoot on the day of the content creation in Cwmbran. And just three weeks later I was able to give Debbie; 36 b-roll video clips, 15 talking to camera edited reels and 73 scroll stopping images. One day of shooting, 3 months worth of content. Not bad right?!

Here’s what Debbie had to say about our working together,

“Really enjoyed not only the outcome of the photo and content shoot but the actual shoot itself. Sarah was a dream to work with and made me feel relaxed from start to finish and I think because of this I got such great quality work (and her skill in taking and editing it all too!). Thanks again Sarah!”

Thanks for submitting!

Sarah did a shoot for our daughter's first birthday and the photos are incredible. The whole experience is super easy, relaxed and most importantly- baby led!

Our photos show our daughter's personality and the way we interact as a family with natural shots rather than posed and manipulated pictures. The shoot was really relaxed and fun and the photos we received will be treasured forever.

Sarah is a non-invasive photographer who makes you feel totally at ease and is responsive to your needs. She takes the time to get to know the family and the environment and the pictures she captures really speak for themselves! If you are wondering whether to book, do it!!
