I'm a Brecon photographer whose business began its life thanks to a community of women who took me in when I was in need. In those early days of breastfeeding my first son, when I was vulnerable and struggling I turned to my local breastfeeding group. I met wonderful women who became the support system I needed to thrive in Motherhood. They were the ones who inspired me to craft a portrait series celebrating breastfeeding and from there it all grew.

I've spent the past 8 years creating emotive images of Mothers at every stage of their story. I've seen women step into the most powerful version of themselves as they bring life into the world. I've basked in the joy of a grandmother surrounded by her 10 grandchildren. I've been invited to photograph first birthdays, christenings and annaprashanas and even in those moments where the focus is all on the child, I've noticed the beauty and pride of the Mothers orchestrating the magic of it all.

When I say I am passionate about celebrating Mothers, know I mean it with every fibre of my being!

Community
I was naive when I first decided to become a Brecon photographer. I had no idea how to run a business and assumed if my photos were good enough people would simply hire me!

It's safe to say I've learned a lot since then and one of those things is that living this life is worth the hard work. The fulfilment and freedom of being my own boss is worth all the late nights, never ending to do lists and constant admin catch up!
​
I also learned that running a business can be lonely but it doesn't have to be. If you open your heart to the idea of having a community around you, running your business can be joyful. Having women around you who understand the struggle, can support you through the highs and lows and are willing to share all the lessons they learned along the way too!
​
And that's exactly why I love to collaborate with small business owners, helping them to show up whole heartedly and authentically!
