There are plenty of photos of our children, aren’t there? Little faces filling up our camera rolls, blurry videos of them running ahead of us, tiny moments we’ve tried to catch before they pass. But when you scroll back, how many of those moments have you in them too! That’s exactly why I’ve created this new Motherhood photoshoot in Brecon offering.

It’s called the Held in Nature Session, and it’s a really simple, gentle way to step into the frame with your children—without it feeling like a big, overwhelming thing to organise.

Because I know what it’s like. You’re usually the one behind the camera. You’re the one making sure everyone else is ready, dressed, fed, and happy. And somewhere along the way, you forget that you deserve to be seen in this season too.

This Motherhood photoshoot in Brecon experience is intentionally different. It’s not long, it’s not complicated, and it’s not about creating something overly styled or performative. It’s just 30 minutes outdoors, in a beautiful, natural space, with your children close to you.
That’s it.
There’s no big production. No pressure to pose perfectly. No expectation for your children to sit still or behave a certain way. You can hold them, walk with them, sit together, or just let them be themselves while you’re alongside them. I’ll gently guide where it’s needed, but mostly I’m just observing and documenting what’s already there.

The connection. The closeness. The way they reach for you without thinking.
For this Motherhood photoshoot in Brecon session, you can choose from three locations, each with its own feel.
Held Wood is one of my favourites if you’re drawn to something more enclosed and intimate. The trees create this soft, earthy atmosphere, and the light filters through in such a gentle way. It feels calm and held, bonus points for small waterfalls with chances for splashing in!

Craig-y-Nos Country Park is a little more open, with woodland paths, a river, and plenty of space for little ones to explore. If your children like to move, run, and follow their curiosity, this is such a lovely option, also great for animal lovers with plenty of chances to feed the ducks!
And then there’s Maendu Well, which has a quieter, almost sacred feel to it. It’s tucked away, a bit more hidden, and there’s something about it that naturally slows everything down.
All sessions take place midweek, including during school holidays. That’s been really intentional too. Everything feels a little softer midweek—less busy, less rushed, more space to just be together without feeling like you’re squeezing it into an already full weekend.

The Motherhood photoshoot in Brecon session itself is 30 minutes long, which I’ve found is the perfect amount of time. Long enough to settle in and relax, but short enough that it doesn’t feel like a big commitment—especially with younger children.
You’ll receive five digital images of your choice, included in the £95 booking fee. And once you’ve seen your gallery, you’ll have the option to upgrade to the full collection for £125 if you find yourself not wanting to leave any behind.
I’ve also chosen to keep this session just for mothers and their children. No partners, no extended family. Not because they’re not important, but because there’s something really special that happens when it’s just you and them. You can soften into your role a little more. There’s less distraction, less noise, and more space for that connection to come through.
And please don’t worry about what to wear. You don’t need to buy anything new. Truly. Neutral tones, soft layers, and clothes you already feel comfortable in are more than enough. Some of the most beautiful images I’ve ever taken have been in the simplest outfits.
If you’ve been thinking about booking a Motherhood photoshoot Brecon session for a while, but kept putting it off because it felt like too much—this is your gentle way in.
You are doing an incredible job, even on the days it doesn’t feel like it. You’re showing up, loving deeply, and holding so much all at once. And you deserve to have this part of your life remembered with you in it too. I’d love to photograph that for you.
Book your session now and let’s create something special together.
